Can cloudy or yellow headlights be repaired?
Yes. Cloudy, yellow or oxidised headlights can often be repaired through professional headlight restoration. Lumen restores the clarity of existing headlight lenses through wet sanding, polishing and UV protection, without needing to replace the entire headlight unit. We don't repair electrical faults, bulbs or physically damaged assemblies.
How long does headlight restoration take?
Restoration takes roughly 35 minutes per headlight, depending on its condition.
Can every headlight be restored?
Most oxidation is reversible. In some extreme cases, the full extent of the damage cannot be reversed. We’ll make you aware of this before you commit.
Will the headlights stay clear?
Yes. We apply a two-stage, industry-standard UV coating designed specifically for headlights. This protects your headlights from oxidation for up to 12 months.
Can you restore just one headlight?
Our £80 service covers both headlights. If only one needs attention, please get in touch so we can advise.
Does mobile headlight repair cover cracks or electrical faults?
No. Lumen specialises in cloudy headlight repair through restoration of the lens surface. We don’t repair electrical faults, replace bulbs or repair cracked lenses, internal damage or broken headlight assemblies.
